Introduction

Most personal data processed by or on behalf of the Law Officers of the Crown ("the Law Officers") in the discharge of their functions falls within the definition of privileged items and is exempt from data subject rights and controller's duties in Part III of the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 or Part III of the Data Protection (Law Enforcement and Related Matters) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Ordinance, 2018. Other exemptions and exceptions may apply.
