STATES OF ALDERNEY APPROVE BREXIT LEGISLATION

At their 12 September, 2018 meeting, the States of Alderney approved the European Union (Brexit) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2018.

At their 12 September, 2018 meeting, the States of Alderney approved the European Union (Brexit) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2018. This follows the approval of that Law by the States of Deliberation on the 6 June and the Chief Pleas of Sark on the 4 July. This Law and the International Trade Agreements (Implementation) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2018 (approved earlier this year) are now awaiting Royal Sanction.

The third Brexit related Law, the European Union (Amendment of Legislation) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2018, is due to be considered by the States of Deliberation on the 24 October, 2018.
